Terms of Service - ClockIn+

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ClockIn+ ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

ClockIn+ is a QR code-based attendance management platform that allows organizations to:

Track employee, volunteer, or participant attendance
Generate QR codes for check-in/check-out
Manage departments and organizational structure
Generate attendance reports and analytics
Send and receive peer recognition (kudos)

3. Account Registration

To use ClockIn+, you must:

Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Free Trial & Subscription

ClockIn+ offers a 14-day free trial with limited features. After the trial period:

You may continue with a free tier with reduced limits
Upgrade to a paid plan for additional features and capacity
Your data will be retained for 30 days if you choose not to continue

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
Upload malicious code or content
Impersonate another person or organization
Collect user data without consent

6. Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you upload to ClockIn+. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service. We do not sell your data to third parties.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice. We are not liable for any downtime or data loss.

8. Limitation of Liability

ClockIn+ is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may cancel your account at any time. Upon termination, your data will be deleted after 30 days unless required by law to retain.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
